Labor Day Weekend

Enjoy your 3-day weekend!  In recognition of Labor Day on Monday, September 3, 2018, City Offices will be closed.

Town Center

Town Center - Town Green Community Open House

Palisades, the Town Center developers will be hosting a Town Green Open House  on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11am at the Community Center.  Please come and share your vision for Scotts Valley!  If you can't attend, be sure to visit the website below to sign up for future event/meeting notifications.

Helping Manufacturing Connect the Dots

Speak up, reach out, build up: That's the crux of a meet-up geared toward the needs of regional manufacturers. The Made in Santa Cruz Manufacturing Meet-up is scheduled for Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 5 pm at the R. Blitzer Gallery of the Old Wrigley building. The goal is to collect input from manufacturers and connect them to resources to grow profitably. Small and medium-sized manufacturers from 1 to 500 employees can learn about free technical assistance, state and local economic incentives, and access to capital at this free event.  Scotts Valley and other Santa Cruz cities will be partnering with the Santa Cruz Small Business Development Center at Cabrillo College and California Manufacturing Technology Consulting, a federally funded nonprofit that provides technical assistance to help manufacturing businesses grow and retain jobs in California.  Additional resources and information will be provided by the California Employment Training Panel and regional business service providers.

City Receives Millions in Grant Funding 

Did you know that over the past year, the City of Scotts Valley has been awarded or received nearly $1.8 million in grant funding? The City proactively seeks grants to reduce the cost of city-wide infrastructure projects, such as road maintenance, widening, and repair, and pedestrian,bicycle, and sidewalk improvements.

Operation Safe Passage a Success!

During the first week of school, the Scotts Valley Police Department initiative Operation Safe Passage where extra officers are assigned near school zones to enforce traffic violations in and around all local school zones within the City of Scotts Valley. Special thanks to our police officers and residents for getting our kids to school safely!

Senior Life Association Hosts State of the City

The Senior Life Association will again host its annual State of the City at Montevalle (Old Mill Meeting Room), on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.  As with last year, the Mayor along with the Police Chief and representatives from the Fire, Water, and School Districts will participate in a panel discussion.
